Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

A Senior Associate for audit services assists in the delivery of assurance services to local and multinational clients seeking creative and cost-effective solutions to their complex business problems. They are trained to specialise in industries such as technology, information, communications and entertainment; consumer and industrial products and services; financial services and/or energy. The Senior Associate works as part of a project or engagement team and reports to the concerned Engagement Manager and Engagement Leader.

Responsibilities:
- Performing the planning sections of audits;
- The audit of all the file’s areas;
- Completion steps (In some cases issuing the financials)
- Manage the job time in efficient way;
- Perform the required work with the required quality (PwC methodology);
- Take the right decisions when needed;
- Act as a Development Team Manager to teams of Associates Tutor one of PwC’s many training courses;
- Champion business unit initiatives ranging from technology to learning and development
- Help less experienced team members;
- Seek for more challenging tasks.

Requirements

The Senior Associate should hold CA, CPA, ACCA certification or be working towards it and this is an essential prerequisite for progression to the next level. He/she needs to have strong oral and written communication skills, a commitment to exceptional client service, creative problem solving ability and a consultancy mindset. Prior Big 4 experience is desired and the person must be available to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.

The jobholder would typically be degree qualified (eg. to Bachelors degree level) in an accountancy, finance or numeracy based degree.

Competence / experience would have been demonstrated (not necessarily in a work environment):
- ACA qualification (or equivalent) with broad ranging audit experience including planning, controlling and completing a diverse range of assignments
- Effective communication skills when working at all levels with well developed listening and questioning techniques
- A proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients A proactive approach to problem solving and delivering client solutions
- A demonstrated ability to take responsibility and use initiative, especially when working to tight deadlines
- Ability to work autonomously without direct day to day management Desire for continuous self improvement
- Experience in supervising and developing staff
- Knowledge of IAS and IFRS
