Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Responsible for the affiliate’s budgets, financial estimates, monthly and quarterly KPI financial submissions to Paris and NY (e.g. Productivity) , and all internal management reporting (e.g. sell thru data, distributor inventory analyses, etc.). This position will oversee the Business Management function and will be responsible for ensuring this department provides meaningful, value added analyses to help drive the business (out of BI and CPM systems.) The BM team is responsible for servicing internal clients including brands and departments with support ranging from strategic analyses to financial information for presentations, etc... Leads, coaches and manages the Business Management team.

Business Strategy Development (75%)
- Responsible for the annual budget, strategy, and LRP processes for the ME affiliate
- Monitor affiliate performance against budget and estimate; analyze variances, suggest solutions
- Responsible for the monthly estimate process across the organization including full responsibility for managing the indirect cost centers (e.g. budget, estimate, etc.) Ensure the affiliates complies with all internal policies and guidelines around budget and estimates (e.g. OPEX rules, etc.)
- Oversee and support COGS quarterly submissions to NY; analyze COGS across the brands and review sku profitability.
- Manage the monthly salary estimate process in accordance with budget and productivity targets, including management of headcount information. Collaborate and support HR with this information as needed.
- Provide value-added, insightful analyses that support the business in its strategic goals (e.g. sku profitability, BA productivity, etc…); identify opportunities for P&L efficiency and effectiveness (e.g. better ROI, reduced costs, etc…) Oversee internal management reporting including sell thru reporting and analyses, distributor inventory reports, cost center reporting, etc… Support presentation needs for MELT, visitors, etc..
- Ensure all Business Management reporting requirements to NY and Paris and completed and submitted on time (e.g. quarterly GM Commentary, etc…) Address ad hoc financial requests from NY and EMEA Regional Office
- Lead and support the affiliate’s efforts with BI to ensure we maximize the value added reports analyses that can be systematically derived. Ensure reporting consistency across the organization.
- Support information needs for the affiliate’s interaction with its customers/distributors, including distributor/country P&L budgets and analyses
- Lead Finance for Non-Finance training sessions for the affiliate
- Support New Business Development Director with strategic projects around new brands, new channels, and new markets

Leading and managing the team (25%)
- Provide strong leadership to business management team: sets and communicates high workplace operating standards, values, and expectations. Ensure Business Managers are value added partners to the brands and departments.
- Establishes disciplined and regular communication with all direct reports through a minimum monthly meeting
- Sets and measures performance objectives for direct reports.
- Provides coaching, constructive feedback, development opportunities, and recognition to direct reports
- Works with Finance and Business Operations Director, and HR to identify performance management, development and succession planning initiatives.
- Identifies opportunities to develop high-potential employees through involvement in new projects, expanded accountability, promotions and or transfers
- Takes opportunities to develop non-finance employees in financial areas.

Requirements

- 10 - 12 years experience
- Bachelors degree in Finance
- Experience in the retail or FMCG sector
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Strong examples of using analysis which showed proven added value to the business
- Must have previously managed a team
- Proficient in Excel or relevant computer applications
- Experience of SAP is advantageous
- Knowledge of accounting principles & practices, & U.S GAAP
