Job description / Role
Our client is a well established media organisation based in Abu Dhabi.
They are currently seeking a Corporate Financial Accountant for a 4 month contract with the possibility of it being extended.
THE CANDIDATE MUST BE AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY.
The CFA will be required to accurately book P&L and Balance sheet transactions (including payables, and receivables). To prepare supporting schedules and perform accounts reconciliations; to ensure timely follow-up on due payments and collections while ensuring compliance with internal accounting policies and IFRS.
- Prepare and book receivable journals after ensuring all supporting documents, reconciliations and approvals are in place
- Prepare and book payable journals (payment request form) after ensuring all supporting documents and approvals are in place
- Prepare and book accruals, provisions, payroll, prepayments, asset amortization and depreciation, intercompany and other month end journals
- Prepare bank, petty cash, suppliers and customers reconciliations
- Assist Head of Finance in preparation of Budgets and Forecast (P&L, Balance sheet and Cash flow)
- Maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all transactions processed
- Follow up on outstanding invoices and billings to ensure that the requirements are met
- Assists and participate to solve any complaint with end user departments, suppliers and customer
- Ensure implementation of finance policies and procedures in day to day activities
- Perform any other job-related task or assignment as directed by the Line Manager
Requirements
- Part qualified or newly qualified (ACCA, CMA, CPA)
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or equivalent
- 1 – 3 years of experience in accounting
- Knowledge of GL accounting policies
- Experience with accounting systems
- English language
- Attention to detail

- Analytical and Computer skills
