Job description / Role
Taylor Sterling is looking for an experienced Cost Manager to join a well-known consultancy in Dubai specialising in cost and contract management services including quantity surveying throughout every stage of a project. Client is involved in many types of projects including commercial, retail and residential.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting feasibility studies and writing procurement reports.
- Managing estimating and cost planning activities.
- Managing the procurement process ensuring that all stages including pre-qualified, enquiry, analysis, selection and contract preparation are performed effectively.
- Ensuring that post-contract cost variances and change control processes are managed effectively.
- Ensuring that cost checking and valuation work is managed effectively.
- Ensuring the production of monthly post-contract cost reports and presenting them to the client.
- Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
- Taking a lead role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages where appropriate, leading a cost management team, ensuring that deliverables are met to the required quality.
Requirements
- Proven track record working with a Consultancy on Construction Projects in the Middle East
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar discipline
- Qualified or working towards, MRICS / MCIOB / MICES
- Comfortable interfacing with Senior Management and Stakeholders
- Excellent analytical skills to make informed, balanced business decisions and reporting findings to Clients and Stakeholders
