Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Responsible for conceptualisation and implementation of design of solutions that meet marketing strategies objectives from concept to completion. The role demands creative flair, a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines whilst listening to the team and understanding their needs before making design decisions.

Will be responsible for the production of graphic design include identity (logos and branding), publications (magazines, newspapers and books), print advertisements, posters, website graphics, signs, product packaging, exhibitions, displays and corporate communications.

- Responsible for conceptualisation and implementation of high impact creative design solutions that meet marketing strategies objectives and tactics
- Meet the team to discuss the brief objectives and requirements of the job;
- Interpreting the business needs and developing a concept to suit their purpose;
- Estimating the time required to complete the work and providing updates to the team;
- Developing design briefs by gathering information and data through research;
- Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts;
- Using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time;
- Presenting finalised ideas and concepts to marketing team;
- Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work;
- Developing interactive design;
- Commissioning illustrators and photographers;
- Final signoff from team before production
- Accountable for managing creative workflow, streamlining process for faster turnaround, at less cost, without error, at the highest quality output
- Responsible for managing and tracking jobs, from beginning to end, by resource, so productivity by job type and supplier can be measured and improved upon
- Create, communicate, implement and document all processes within Creative Services
- Manage relationships and workflow with external supplier and vendors
- File management with regard to team, program, event or corporate logos and files: archiving, manipulating and distribution.
- Create and maintain print and digital library

Requirements

This role is hands on graphic design role, suitable for a Senior Graphic Designer, this is stand alone role so you must be able to work independantly.

- Strong conceptual thinker who is able to translate strategic thinking into visual solutions
- Minimum 8 years in Graphics Production experience
- Specialised knowledge of methods and techniques of graphic design and layout.
- High level of proficiency in design, web and multimedia software and applications.
- Knowledge of printing procedures, photography, illustration and verbal and written communication.
- Highly collaborative; great facilitator; leads by example
- Persuasive, fact-based, and articulate with superlative collaboration skills
- Strong sense of urgency combined with close attention to detail. Patient, yet tenacious
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects/activities seamlessly within a fast paced setting

Desirable:
- Experience in the Retail, FMCG or Food and Beverage Sector
- Strong PowerPoint Skills
- English writing skills
