Credit Manager - This is a contract staffing role under Manpower for a period of 6 months

Position purpose: With CAO Platform implementation for the Middle East, a Credit Manager Position is crucially needed to perform all newly delegated customer service activities from BPH AG and BCC AG to the ME, focusing on the credit management for all BHC Divisions and respective customers at present. Presently with the delegation of activities the credit management shall be run under a Divisional approach. In future under a buy-sell hub in Dubai for the 16 country cluster this position shall cover an integrated approach to all BHC customers. The incumbent will coordinate credit and risk management decisions into what concerns all customers and distribution channels, fostering a compliant roll out in accordance to the Group`s regulations and WoC requirements, not limited but focused on Group Guideline 1367.

Major tasks and responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Customer Service in securing the proper credit management approach in order to comply with the company guidelines by calculating and proposing adequate credit limits.
- Following-up, evaluating and releasing orders which are blocked due to exceeded credit limit, overdue outstanding payments, or other ICS blocks in accordance to Group regulations.
- Initiate and maintain a proactive alarming approach to avoid order blocks due to any of the aforesaid criteria.
- Manage the cash collection process by following-up on accounts receivables directly with customers in order to ensure a proper dunning process, by analysing requests for payments, open items and incoming payments and by triggering required actions with Head of Customer Service and/or business divisions. Outcome to ensure maintaining healthy DSO results in line with corporate strategy.
- With the support of corresponding departments at headquarters and locally, develop and maintain a strong and practical risk awareness, compliance and control culture and environment. Manage all risk dynamics that might hinder smooth continuity of product supply and contribute in risk assessment activities.
- Manage a periodic revision to payment terms granted to customers heading towards harmonization and acceleration of cash collection. Realization and control of cost of payment tools offered by/requested to customers in addition to controlling cost of debt/imputed interest resulting from overdue outstanding.
- Guarantee that all corporate compliance guidelines and local monetary protocols are met. Ensure process and internal control changes resulting from new or changing corporate financial guidelines.
- Maintain all relevant SOPs and ensure sustainability and improvement.
- Implementing an efficient dunning process directly with customers associated to proper coordination with distributors, institutes and financial management at headquarters will yield into a financially sound and healthy operation and promotes a positive effect on business relationships.
- Establishing a proactive approach to avoid order blocks and work closely with Logistics and Customer Service Functions will increase the operational speed and decrease complexity and exceptional cases.

Requirements

- University degree; IT literacy is an asset.
- Should have at least 5 years’ experience in Logistics/Customer Service functions.
