Job description / Role
We're looking for a hands-on CTO who will work as an equal partner with the CEO to build and scale the technical architecture that the Venture requires to succeed. You will be the technical leader in app build, uses of data, payment integrations security systems, personalization, automation, and everything else. As the venture is still in its inception it will be your decisions that pave the way to its success.
Essential:
• Working as a DIRECTOR or CTO in a true B2C eCommerce Business
• Passion for a Scale Up feel environment.
• Hands-on technical background - able to guide and intervene on specific technology challenges
• Stint at an excellent international technology eCommerce business
• Proven track record hiring, retaining, growing and motivating excellent teams
• Demonstrably driven and self-motivated in high-change environments
• Bonus points for detailed experience with e-commerce subsystems such as Shopify, Magento etc. or some of the off the shelf systems in use in retail.

• Firstly, you’re motivated to join a startup and love building a business from the ground up, with strategic ability to see how a product can evolve
• Full stack experience using multiple languages and frameworks with a proven portfolio
• Experience of architecting and delivering AWS hosted services
• A self-starter, you are a problem solver and motivated by success and are good-humored when the pressure is on.
• Ideally some experience of running a team
• Good at communicating with non-technical audiences
