Customer Service & Operations Manager - Dubai

An International Engineering Services company with global operations have a requirement for a Customer Service & Operations Manager to join their team in Dubai. The Dubai office plays an important role in the overall structure of the business as it is the link between all company EMEA operations and the Corporate Headquarters in Europe.

The Dubai office is also the location where all import/export activity is processed for the region and all regional accounts are held.

The responsibilities of the Customer Service & Operations Manager will include:
- Manage a team of 2 Customer Service Executives.
- Lead a high performing team to ensure an outstanding service to clients.
- Drive process improvement and effective communication between the different parties in a complex environment.
- Drive competency development to guarantee fast and accurate response to the customer queries and ensure optimised turnover, margin and cash flow for the organisation.
- Take part in the execution of the Operations strategy.
- Ensure and manage excellent client services (work flow, quotes, order processing, deliveries, claims, etc.)
- Supervision and development of the direct reports especially on the technical side and import/export.
- Ensure permanent interchange with local sales staff.
- Prepare activity reports, control back orders, follow up on quotes.
- Ensure efficient transportation solution, from factory/suppliers to customers.
- Check daily activity/productivity/performance report and take necessary actions
- Coordinate the handling of claims with the Quality Manager
- Set and control operational budget and manage all types of location issues.

The ideal candidate will be based in the UAE and will have import/export knowledge from the Dubai Port area.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of Customer Service, Logistics and Business Improvement processes.

He/she will also have at least 2 years of management experience.

He/she will have an understanding of customs and import/export processes in JAFZA.
