Job description / Role

African Dancers of Emirates Park Zoo are professional entertainers who uses various dancing methods to entertain the watching audiences.

• To be entertaining when performing for the enjoyment of public audiences.
• To be courteous, approachable and enthusiastic to members of the public.
• Welcoming visitors and greeting well.
• Contributing with Public shows, Private shows, School shows and special events (In-situ and Ex- situ) and also perform separate shows if needed.
• Wearing African traditional costumes.
• Arranging entertaining methods to attract multicultural audience.
• Grooming around the zoo according to the work schedule.
• Study and Learn new dancing and drumming lessons and practice them to a professional standard.
• Maintaining equipment and Costumes in good condition.
• Conservation talk if needed.

Salary:
AED 1,600 to 1,800 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

• Must have an excellent understanding of the routines and techniques which are to be performed.
• Should have an understanding to achieve company goals.
• Should also be comfortable speaking and performing in public.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions, to stand and maintain alertness for long periods of time.
• Self Confidence, Team work.
• Excellent customer service skills and teamwork.
• Punctuality, Professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Able to work a flexible/changing schedule and daily assigned responsibilities.
• Some evening, weekend, holiday work may be required.

Activities at the zoo include animal feeding, animal shows, zip and climb and car adventures. Guests can also experience a VIP experience such as breakfast with birds, breakfast with giraffes, lunch with a leopard, a crocodile experience and dinner with elephants.
