Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The purpose of the Data Manager is to drive a data culture forward within the school and co-ordinate and administer the efficient running of the School's academic information management systems (ISAMS) in order to support the School's mission statement.
- Working with exte rnal teams - ALPS, Learning Leade rs and Phoenix team.
- Positive relation with all external teams to develop their system to meet the requirements and customize the features on the platform according to the needs of the School .
- Developmental and constructive feedback to the external teams for effective use of the product.
- Coordinating and guid ing Data Leaders across the school , about the working and effective use of Phoenix .
- Accuracy in data entry at all points.
- Transparency in the methodology followed and the analysis of the data at all times .
- Time to time PLD for staff and senior leaders on the appropriate use and additional features available on the platform to support teaching and learning practices effectively.
- Data analysis from time to time to address the gaps
- Coordinating with the Academic team, Pastoral team and Admin Department with regards to the requirement of their department
- To liaise with the Timetable manager to ensure fair distribution and support in resolving any challenges with respect to curriculum expansion. S upport the Timetable Manager in linking the Timetable on Units with Phoenix .
- To liaise with the Exam manager- for effective administration of all the assessments - both internal and external and result analysis of National/ International Benchmark assessments/ External assessments .

Requirements

- To liaise with the PLD leader, to identify the needs as per the data analysis and accordingly collaborate on the design and implementation of a comprehensive Professional Development Plan of all staff.
- To work closely with the Digital and Innovation leader, to ensure the school team is abreast with the latest updates with the technological developments.
- Coordinating with the Data team across the school in grouping, scheduling, mark entry, release of report cards and promotion of students on both Phoenix, Learning Ladders and KHDA .
- Designing and creating Pastoral points, Mark book and report card template on Phoenix and KHDA - based on the requirement or modification in the assessment policy, behavior policy for effective tracking, monitoring and interventions to support teaching and learning.
- Effective tracking and monitoring system for Lesson observations/ note book scrutiny/ learning walk/ staff performance levels - to ensure continuity in effective teaching learning strategies in place at all times .
- Sharing the data with the SLT every 6 weeks and update the SEF .
- Conducting survey and sharing the survey responses with the SLT .
- Support in d eveloping the Academic Calendar.
