To support this strategy, IS have defined an operating model for 2020 to revolutionise the way IS is provided to the organisation, moving from a BAU focus to a Business Value driven organisation. Key concepts include: Moving to digital products, adopting agile across the organisation, leveraging cloud, and focus on supporting bid and delivery.

Be responsible for the delivery, support, on-going success and continuous improvement of digital products or services in the Digital Engineering space. Work within agile teams that bridge the gap between Atkins’ business and our clients, and the development and technical worlds. Hands-on technical delivery of multiple new products, or existing product enhancements from conception to launch.

Responsibilities
- Work within sometimes globally distributed teams using agile methodologies to deliver innovation, incubation and iteration of digital products for Digital Engineering.
- Use a deep product knowledge to develop new solutions and support existing solutions at 3rd and 4th line, and with a “fix it once” mind set, passing documented solutions and scripts to 1st and 2nd line support functions.
- Work on specific backlog items to build solutions through creation of new systems or the detailed configuration of existing systems, to address user preferences and behaviours across the relevant digital platforms.
- Build in automated measurement aspects to the digital products and services to allow effective capture of qualitative and quantitative user data.
- Build in automated testing, release and validated learning through user metrics for products.

Requirements

- Well-rounded individual who will contribute to a highly effective team delivering products to our customers.
- Have a bias toward action and can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development at speed.
- Will be able to demonstrate how to put the customer first with strong customer communications and the ability to validate product ideas.
- A hands-on software development experience.
- A depth technical knowledge in products and services associated with Digital Engineering and specifically for Content & Workflow, have a deep understanding/experience of development around asset information management toolset used across various business sectors, examples being ProjectWise, Cabinet, Documentum, Aconex, TeamCenter and Wrench.
- Be able to demonstrate a hands-on experience in development of solutions around these 3rd party products and services.
- Experience of working in teams using SCRUM, Kanban or some other agile methodology.
- Proactive and able to identify and deliver improvements and new products to meet the demands of the business and bring cost and process efficiencies, backed up with a good understanding of the market offerings in the Digital Engineering space.
- A resourceful drive with appreciation of user-experience.

Desirable
- An experience of building and delivering commercial products for external clients.
- A working knowledge of CAD applications.
- Working with suppliers/vendors in partnership to deliver solutions.
