Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

1. Assortment Planning:

- Collaborate with the merchandising team to plan and curate product assortments based on market trends, historical performance, and seasonal demand.

- Utilize data analytics to identify top-performing products and optimize assortments for each retail location.

2. Inventory Management:

- Work closely with the Inventory Controller to manage and optimize inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock availability while minimizing excess stock.

- Implement strategies for stock balancing and clearance to maximize profitability.

3. Sales Analysis:

- Analyse sales data and customer feedback to identify trends and opportunities.

- Work with the merchandising team to make data-driven decisions regarding product assortment adjustments.

4. Replenishment Planning:

- Develop and implement replenishment plans based on sales forecasts and stock levels.

- Monitor stock turnover rates and adjust replenishment strategies as needed.

5. Collaboration with Suppliers:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and negotiate favourable terms.

- Collaborate with suppliers on assortment planning and new product introductions.

6. Promotions and Markdowns:

- Plan and execute promotions, markdowns, and sales events to drive traffic and maximize sell-through.

- Monitor the effectiveness of promotional activities and adjust strategies as needed.

7. Data Analysis and Reporting:

- Utilize advanced data analytics tools to analyse sales trends, customer behaviour, and market dynamics.

- Generate regular reports on merchandise planning performance and provide insights for continuous improvement.

8. Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Collaborate with marketing, store operations, and other departments to align merchandise planning strategies with overall business objectives.

- Communicate effectively to address planning-related issues and facilitate seamless operations.
