Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Produces engineering drawing content using appropriate resources and its subsequent control using effective change control and document control procedures.
- Creates accurate detailed technical drawings which clearly define the work involved and fully satisfy their intended purpose in accordance with sound engineering practice.
- Prepares accurate calculations satisfying the relevant design standards, to enable preliminary designs or concepts to be translated into cost-effective, durable and safe engineering solutions.
- Provides technical assistance, design and draughting support for all Licensees of the company’s Technology as required.
- Provides Engineering and Project Management Services of low to medium capital value
- Liaise with internal and external clients including suppliers and service providers in all aspects of the projects, establishes, confirms and records scopes of work, priorities and programme requirements for current and future projects.

Requirements

Degree in Mechanical engineering or a Diploma with a 15 years relevant experience (2-4 years of formal training and experience in industrial or chemical plant engineering design; (3-6 years as a lead engineer on medium size, multi-discipline engineering or EPC projects within the aluminium industry) Computer literate including competence in computer aided draughting using AutoCAD
