Job description / Role

Client is a leading media channel is looking for a Production Director to join their growing organization. The Director will frame and select camera shots, among other things, to successfully present TV during live transmissions and studio recordings.

Main responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Responsible for everything that goes on in front of the cameras.
- Required to be flexible: as the role engenders producing live programming where selection of products, selection of product demonstrations, as well as segment duration will change with short notice.
- Responsible for the shot composition of entire programs as part of a rolling live TV output.
- Produce content that is produced and recorded, i.e. pre-produced.
- Present a wide variety of products and product demonstrations in the most appealing way - using state-of-the-art digital production equipment to the best advantage.
- Visualize product ‘stories’ and include creative and innovative production approaches – this to create a full product understanding for audiences.
- Responsible for supervising the editing of the segments, as well as post-production editing of the shows.
- Attend all production rehearsals and meetings in order to understand the products and the shows.

Requirements

- BSc. in Fine Arts, Media Production or related field or equivalent study.
- 3 – 5 years of experience in a similar position
- Strong experience in in-studio production skills, conceptualizing, briefing, and producing
- Understand and have experience of live TV production
- Excellent conceptual and writing skills
- Highly developed communication skills to clearly communicate Ideas and visions on screen
- Ability to speak and understand Arabic & English languages
- Ability to manage a team
- Ability to follow a creative brief
