Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is looking for a Director to support the Chief Business Development Officer in developing and promoting the business in line with the business development strategies and position and brand the organization regionally and globally. Conduct sales and relationship management activities to attract, retain and grow clients in the organization

Manage Client Development
- Identify and develop active pipeline of prospective clients to drive new business for the organization.
- Utilize pipeline to meet individual KPIs’
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in targeted markets and establish strategic relations with key decision makers
- Meet potential clients; understand their business needs/aspirations in the context of the organization’s offering.
- Analyze industry information and formulate effective market entry strategies through marketing, sponsorships and conferences to achieve departmental objectives

Support Departmental Objectives
- Manage all large and strategically important clients of the sector, ensuring enhanced client satisfaction and maximize client relations
- Assist in setting up of the long term plan for the overall functioning of the Department in line with the organization’s mission and vision and the strategic objectives.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance client experience, by simplifying and streamlining all internal end to end client management and operation processes, involved in the induction of clients into the organization such as application process, client registration, office space etc.

Ensure Client Management
- React promptly to queries from client, maintaining and developing customer relationships through constant liaison with customers on any issues
- Work closely with existing clients to understand their growth plans and start building their expansions ahead of time
- Understand their operational requirements due to potential scale- up of operations, thus projecting feasibility for them to relocate employees and departments into the organization
- Through excellent client management, build a strong referral process and leverage on existing client relationships to attract other large clients to the organization
- Coordinate all set up activities such as leasing of office space, entity registration/incorporation with the ROC and employee sponsorship, etc. with the respective departments/units.

Spread Awareness of the organization’s Competitiveness and Positioning
- Position the organization as a specialized centre to support client requirement from the concerned sector by participating in industry conferences and other events/ initiatives – Locally, Regionally and Internationally
- Network and interact with industry councils and government delegations to build ties with the centre and explore new opportunities.
- Ensure the organization’s Corporate brand image is maintained consistently while interacting with potential clients

Manage and Coach the Team
- Coach the team on client and relationship management to ensure that all clients are being catered to and serviced within the specified timeframes; prepare them for handling clients independently
- Upgrade of the skill sets of the team by involving them in business and market analysis

Enable People Management
- Ensure the highest ethical standards are maintained throughout the team
- Oversee workload, conduct performance evaluations and sign off on reward, recognition and career guidance along with necessary disciplinary actions as appropriate
- Review the manning and training requirements of the team and communicate those requirements to the respective HC business partner

Resource Management - Number of direct reports: two

Financial Management: (As per financial assumptions agreed) Direct RevenueTarget

Nature of Interaction

Internal:
- Division Heads for any cross divisional support required
- Operations Division for any aspect related to client induction to the centre (Registry, Real Estate, Leasing etc.)

External:
- Vendors and Consultants for market research/ intelligence data and other initiatives
- Client representatives for business continuation and centre growth

Problem Solving
- Diverse: Problems are differing, but related. Undertakes analysis and investigation to identify issues and define the problem. Many problems require sophisticated analytical or problem solving techniques to define and identify cause. Requires evaluation, interpretation and judgment to select the right course of action. Anticipates future issues.

Requirements

The candidate should have at least a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business Administration or other relevant field.

Master’s in Business Administration is preferred.

8 to 10 years of experience in a similar role in Business Development and Client Management for an international or large organization.

At least 6 years progressive leadership responsibility in an organization of similar scope and size.

Fluency in English and Arabic (preferably) is critical as this role must be able interact with regionally and globally.
