Employment: Full Time

AED 45,000, plus schooling allowance, family flights, family health insurance, pension, many other perks.

Our client is an internationally renowned group in the leisure industry employing 10000s of people globally.

A Remuneration Director is required to direct the remuneration strategy and operations to support the achievement of business objectives and improve colleague engagement. The job holder will also ensure remuneration structures are fair, consistent, compliant and market competitive, whilst providing a good return on investment for the company.

Responsibilities
- Direct and implement remuneration strategy for the Group to attract, motivate and retain colleagues
- Use appropriate local and international benchmarking, as well as feedback from colleagues and managers, to maintain a market-competitive remuneration position and internal equity.
- Present business-cases and cost-modelling for proposed adjustments (including annual reviews), and implement approved changes effectively across the business.
- Advise and make recommendations on executive remuneration and group remuneration policy.
- Assist in package negotiations for executive appointments.
- Ensure Company grade structures, salary scales, benefits plans, retirement plans and recognition programmes are appropriate, administered correctly and well communicated
- Develop, manage and continuously improve short- and long-term incentive plans to support achievement of business goals, drive appropriate behaviour and reward colleagues for their contribution.
- Work with tax, legal and operational departments to develop effective and compliant employment arrangements for new locations and international assignments.
- Participate in due diligence activities for mergers and acquisitions, as required.
- Select third party remuneration providers, advisors and consultants, in line with the company’s tender processes
- Lead and develop the remuneration team to provide effective support and advice to the business on remuneration matters. Increase remuneration capability and understanding at an operational level.
- Set and manage the departmental budget, in line with company finance policies.
- Assist the finance team in developing payroll-related budgets for the Group.
- Participate in strategic cross-functional and HR projects

Requirements

- At least 10 years’ remuneration (comp & bens) experience at a managerial level, with a thorough understanding of remuneration components and theories.
- Expert knowledge of compensation practices in the GCC, Europe, Asia and the US.
- Experience in managing international assignment policy and related income tax issues.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing incentive plans
- Good knowledge of international retirement plans and financial education principles
- Fluent written and spoken business English
- Excellent MS Office skills, including advanced excel
- Highly numerate, with excellent analytical skills and the ability to manage budgets
- Basic knowledge of tax and legal considerations for international assignments
- Demonstrates commercial acumen and awareness of how remuneration can support business strategy.
- Able to influence and negotiate with key stakeholders, and to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels and from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrates a creative approach to problem-solving
- Calm, flexible, resilient, and able to cope well with ambiguity in a rapidly changing environment.

Desirable
- Experience of working in the Gulf region
- Basic knowledge of US benefits and retirement plans
- Executive remuneration and working with non-executive directors
- Experience of due diligence for new openings or take-overs
- Knowledge of Oracle HRMS
- In-depth understanding of UAE labour law
