Director of Marketing

Job description / Role

Our client is a well known hotel group opening their flagship property later this year and on their behalf we are looking for Director of Marketing that will be reporting to the General Manager and will be responsible for managing the Marketing and PR Department.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have previous Middle East experience as well as luxury hotel background.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Direct all strategic initiatives toward increasing company visibility as top provider of marketing services. Charged with planning, implementing special events, conceiving, designing creative marketing concepts, and guiding concept toward actuality. Provide design direction for signage, packaging and collateral materials. Demonstrate expertise in direct mail and database marketing; develop strategic marketing plans used on focus groups.
- Develops a public relations programme for the hotel based on its marketing goals.
- Develops and organizes promotional activities, coordinates with departments concerned; invites VIPs and media to promotional activities; prepares and issues press releases
- Establishes sales leads from the study of magazines, newspapers and from personal contacts;
- Coordinates sales leads with Banqueting and Sales Departments
- Disseminates corporate press releases to appropriate local trade and consumer media
- Establishes a programme for sending promotional news to trade publications on a regular basis
- Releases covering special events, promotions, etc.
- Prepares promotional press releases on personalities among guests and employees of the hotel and on newsworthy events in the hotel

The basic salary is AED 17,000 net per month plus ex pat family package.
