What you'll be doing

This role will champion a best practice methodical approach to drive the alignment of the Group's organization structure with its strategy in an effective and efficient way, partnering with the business on strategic priorities and transformations.

- Is the Group SME and custodian of strategic Organization Effectiveness (OE) initiatives that support the Group to deliver its vision and strategy
- Interprets complex business dilemmas and applies specialist knowledge in the Group's organizational structure and operating model to lead the diagnosis, design and delivery of prioritized strategic OE initiatives across the Group, crossing multiple functions, business units and geographies and with broad impact on the Group's future success
- Leverages impeccable senior stakeholder management and negotiation skills to effectively partner with, consult and coach stakeholders through OE initiatives (to ExCom level)
- Leads the development and delivery of best practice Organization Effectiveness (OE) methodology, tools, standards and templates across the Group
- Leads the effort to upskill People Partners, People & Culture (HR) and business stakeholders in OE
- Leads on the design and delivery of Organization Design (OD) governance across the Group based on agreed priorities, applying appropriate best practice and business knowledge
- Owns the inception and manipulation of OE data to extract an ongoing view of the shape, size and health of the Group. Uses this data to derive meaningful insight and support decision making
- Designs and recommends OD blueprints to facilitate the Group's strategic ambitions and enable People Partners to effectively "plug and play" these for their business areas
- Owns defined elements of job architecture for the Group
- Leads junior team members directly or indirectly across OE initiatives, setting project plans, priorities and allocation of tasks

Requirements

What you'll need to succeed

- Expert in Organization Design and Effectiveness best practice, deployed in large complex organizations
- Experience building OD/OE foundations from the ground up and contributing to the short and long term operational strategy and performance of an OD/OE function
- Demonstrated experience developing innovative, logical and attainable organization elements of operating models that meet business requirements
- Demonstrated project management and governance of multiple large-scale OE projects, including flexibility to adapt an approach and timelines as needed, as well as handle multiple projects at once
- Demonstrated understanding and application of job architecture best practice
- Demonstrated experience in establishing OE methodology, tools and standards and upskilling People Partners
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills (qualitative and quantitative), as well as the ability to simplify complexities to make them easy to navigate through
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills (to ExCom level), with the ability to provide effective coaching and influence senior stakeholders
- Excellent communication, facilitation and storytelling skills, both written and spoken
- Management consultancy experience in an OD/OE capacity is desirable
- People management experience
