Employment: Full Time

Our client a multinational money transfer company, is looking to recruit an experienced and dynamic Arabic Speaking Director of Regional Compliance for their office based in UAE.

You will be responsible for back office and overseeing the Agent Oversight Program and manage the escalation process including referrals, restrictions, probations, suspensions and terminations for the Regional Compliance Teams and also monitor and report on the successes and failures of the Agent Oversight Program.

You will also measure adherence to the Agent Oversight Program through reporting and QA. You will assist in the development, implementation and enforcement of policies, procedures and programs designed to minimize potential money laundering risk for the company and its partners within the strategies of the compliance department and develop overall goals and initiatives; lead and follow up on training sessions; proactively build a risk-based approach for the company and its partners; work as a channel for communication with regulatory bodies; and assist in the co-ordination with other departments for achieving the overall strategy and objectives of the company.

Requirements

- Be degree educated to Master’s level desired
- Have proven experience in a similar role with responsibilities for hiring, performance management and coaching and
- 5-7 years experience as a subject matter expert in compliance in a banking or financial services environment.
- Have a sound understanding of the compliance legislations implications on a business.
- High-level language skills in Arabic and English is essential, as are strong presentation skills
- The ability to adapt into a multicultural and multinational environment.
- You must possess outstanding leadership skills, including a trace record of developing distinctive strategic direction, and translating broad strategies into specific objectives and action plans
- You should have advanced knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and AML Regulations, USA Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets Control
