Draughtsman

Job description / Role

The Draughtsman is responsible for creating accurate and detailed technical drawings and plans for construction fit-out projects.
This role involves collaborating with architects, designers, and project managers to translate design concepts into precise and actionable drawings for construction teams.
- Produce detailed architectural and construction drawings based on design concepts and specifications.
- Create plans, elevations, and sections for various construction elements.
- Ensure that technical drawings accurately represent design intent and comply with industry standards.
- Utilize AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other drafting software to create precise technical drawings.
- Collaborate with architects and designers to understand project objectives and constraints.
- Prepare detailed plans, elevations, and sections for construction teams.
- Incorporate design changes and updates into existing drawings, ensuring accuracy.
- Work closely with project managers and construction teams to address technical queries related to drawings.
- Assist in the development of as-built drawings during and after project completion.
- Maintain a systematic filing system for all drawings and related documentation.

Requirements

- At least 5 year's experience in working in a similar role.
- Diploma or degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Additional courses or certifications in drafting and CAD software are advantageous.
- Good Knowledge in MS Office
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other relevant drafting software.
- Knowledge of construction industry standards and drawing conventions.
- Familiarity with 3D modeling and rendering tools.
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
