Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dredging Works Manager to oversee and manage the dredging operations in the marine industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dredging works, project management, and marine engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the dredging operations, including planning, execution, and monitoring of dredging projects in marine environments.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and contractors, to ensure smooth and efficient project delivery.
- Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure cost-effective and timely completion of dredging works.
- Supervise and lead a team of dredging professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance management to ensure high-quality workmanship and safety compliance.
- Implement and enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards in all dredging operations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality assessments to maintain high standards of workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to optimize dredging processes, equipment utilization, and project efficiency.
- Prepare and present regular project progress reports, including financial updates, risk assessments, and mitigation plans, to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in dredging operations, with a minimum of 8-10 years in a managerial role within the marine or dredging industry.
- In-depth knowledge of dredging equipment, techniques, and best practices, coupled with a strong understanding of marine construction and project management principles.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of professionals, with excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
- Proficiency in project management software, budgeting tools, and MS Office suite; familiarity with AutoCAD and other relevant engineering software is a plus.
- Sound understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in marine construction, with a commitment to promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
