We have been supporting the RTA to operate the Dubai Metro since 2009 and have launched the flagship Saudi Arabia Passenger Rail service from Riyadh to Qassim in 2017. We deliver Facility Management services to Hospitals, Universities, Airports, Military Facilities and Commercial Estates in the UAE and large-scale medical facilities in Saudi Arabia. We also deliver staff training and education to selected officers of the Qatar Armed Forces at the Officers' training institute located at the Ahmed Bin Mohammed Military College in Doha.

Key purpose

The primary responsibility of this position is the operation of trucks/plant machinery.

This position is also required to undertake general duties required and/or as directed by Contracts Manager/Administrator.

Based on the specific requirement of the role

Key accountabilities

- The Driver/Plant Operator needs to be able to drive light and medium vehicles.
- General Plant/Machine operation including road machinery (trailer and semi-trailer combinations,) as directed.
- Maintain all machinery and equipment (small) to a high standard
- Collect and deliver mail, invoices, payments and collections for Serco DA contract as required
- To maintain a professional demeanor at all times
- To provide transfers to Serco DA staff and visitors as and when requested in a timely and professional manner.
- To assist with sorting and distribute internal mail as required
- Pick and drop guests as required by bookings with Office Administrator
- Liaise with Office Administrator for bookings and assignments
- Maintain company provided vehicle by scheduling timely services; ensuring vehicle is always clean and presentable.
- To carry out other activities as required by Office Manager SME-OMS
- Carry out any other activities as required by the Office Manager including, but not limited to, performing work activities out of formal office hours.
- To wear the prescribed uniform at all times.

HSQE Responsibilities and Information Security Responsibilities

- Awareness of the Integrated Management System and the content of the Environment, Quality, Health & Safety and Information Security Policy Statements.
- Understanding of personal responsibilities and contribution to achieving compliance with the Integrated Management System requirements, (including but not limited to competence to perform safety critical roles, legal requirements, control measures arisen from environmental impacts and aspects, job safety analysis and information security risk assessment) and the potential consequences of departure from the arrangements in place to deliver the commitments stated in the policies statements above;
- To exercise a personal duty of care for their own health, safety and welfare and for those affected by their acts or omissions;
- Promote a good HSQE and Information Security culture within their departments and among their peers, subcontractors and third parties;
- Lead by example and look at ways to conserve energy, water and resources and minimize the generation of waste through personal performance and raise recommendations on how to improve existing processes on this regard within/outside their departments through their Line Manager, Departmental Safety Meetings and any other appropriate available channels;
- Protect information assets and data including both electronic and paper based from all threats whether internal, external, deliberate or accidental;
- Promote a good HSQE and Information Security culture among their peers, subcontractors and third parties;

Requirements

Essential technical and professional skills, knowledge and qualifications

Knowledge

- High School Diploma or Higher Secondary Education
- UAE Driver's License with a clean driving record
- A good knowledge of all office systems and office administration
- Knowledge of Arabic language is preferred.
- Understanding of relevant policies and procedures.

Skills

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in an easily understood format.
- Ability to liaise in a professional and persuasive manner with staff at all levels in the organisation.
- Ability to handle confidential information in strict confidence
- Ability to work with high integrity and minimum supervision.
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills
- A lively, energetic and strong personality a practical "can-do" attitude

Experience

- At minimum of 2 years' driving experience in UAE
- A minimum of 1 year administrative experience

Additional / special features of the role

- Ensure compliance with the Serco Management System and all relevant business processes, procedures and work instructions to deliver all work with appropriate quality and governance standards
- Ensure security and integrity of all data provided including reporting performance, finance and customer information; reference Serco non-disclosure policy

- Ensure compliance with all training requirements of Serco and ensure adherence to these requirements at all times whilst in employment
- Report any accidents, incidents, breaches or potential breaches to appropriate management or the speak up process
