Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Provide leadership to the shift staff within the MCC and successfully manage the resolution asset faults and other emergencies. The Duty Engineer is the FM management representative when FM management team are not on site and will coordinate FM resources from other FM teams in order to provide an effective response to any urgent fault or emergency situations.

Operational
- Manage members of the shift team by prioritizing all work activities and ensuring that all members of the shift team are assigned work throughout each shift
- Manage the call center operators ensuring that faults are clearly and accurately recorded within the Fault Reporting System/CMMS
- Assign the response priority to all reported faults
- Continuously monitor the status of all airport assets and where necessary initiate a response to alarms or other indicators
- Continuously communicate with the Airport Duty Manager regarding the status of asset availability and airport operational requirements
- Respond to all reports of dangerous or unsafe situations and where appropriate make-safe. In the interest of containing an unsafe situation
- Direct Shift staff and/or undertake preventative inspections and maintenance allocated to the shift team, including updating of the company’s CMMS
- Provide technical advice to airport staff regarding the installation, operation and maintenance standards for all airport assets
- Process “Permit to Work” applications from Contractors and other airport stakeholders. Monitor the compliance of Contractors against conditions set out in the relevant Permit to Work
- Prepare and/or approve hot works permits, roof access permits and confined space access requests
- Monitor the rectification of reported faults through to completion including the provision of feedback to airport stakeholders on the status of fault rectification
- Conduct a daily safety briefing with shift staff to identify / discuss any operational/asset issues or changes that may impact on the safety of staff or others
- Monitor and analyze the methods tools and process applied by technicians on work and advise them on ways of improvement
- Monitor all maintenance works and operations are being carried out in safe and efficient manner with no disruption to airport operation
- Comply at all times with all company issued management system, policies , Standard Operating Procedures and processes including those addressing the requirements of regulators, certification bodies including and the Abu Dhabi Environment

Requirements

- At least a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Certifications relevant to discipline.
- A minimum of eight years of relevant experience with at least five years in a leadership role in a similar Division preferably in a similar environment.
