Employment: Full Time

Our client is a prestigious bank.

Our client is looking for an Economic Analyst to assist in conducting research, making financial analysis/forecasts and preparing presentations/reports for internal and external consumption. The Economic Analyst reports to the Senior Manager – Economist.

Research and Analysis
Conduct research and gather information using online / offline sources and produce data to support the Economist in decision-making, as well as contributing to the analysis and economic forecasts of the team

Publication of Reports & Database Management
Contribute to the writing of reports for internal and external distribution on regional and global issues

Database Management
Build economic databases and models, as well as maintaining existing ones

Stakeholder Liaison
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to discuss, disseminate and explain research / analysis findings and responding to related queries

Policies, Processes, Systems & Procedures
Adhere to all relevant organisational and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner while delivering the required standard of service to customers and stakeholders

Self-Management
Manage self in line with the bank’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own contribution to business performance

Customer Service
Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the organisation's Service Standards to deliver the bank’s required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or a related subject with strong economics focus
- At least Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as an economist or research analyst in a research department

Technical Competencies
- Excellent written and spoken presentation skills and ability to communicate thought on macroeconomic and policy issues
- Knowledge of macroeconomic and financial market analysis
- Understanding of financial markets and instruments with a specific focus on multi-asset-class solutions
- Ability to deliver clear, meaningful and well-structured information and complex messages convincingly and concisely
- Creativity / flexibility to adapt approach and solutions independently in complex environments with a highly challenging client group
