Electrical Engineer - ADDC Certified

Job description / Role

A leading facilities management provider requires a Facilities Engineer - Electrical to join their team in a remote site in Abu Dhabi.

Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of PPM and RM tasks to ensure they are completed efficiently and correctly.
- Managing Supervisors – Ensuring that the site labour is fully utilised and productive at all times in order to meet contractual KPI’s.
- Ensure that all technical labour is fully utilised and are giving good output with high productivity.
- Managing pending jobs – Daily review and closing out of outstanding tasks, prioritise tasks that may miss their SLA’s in order to maintain compliance.
- Hold weekly meetings with Supervisors and Team Leaders to discuss progress and problems faced, feedback issues to management for further assistance.
- Managing PPM tasks – Planning the workload with the Supervisors and monitoring delivery, ensure that all tasks are assigned and to the correct skill sets and completed.
- Review weekly operational reports to ensure accuracy and use the results to achieve future improvements.
- Ensure that site OHS and company QA systems are implemented and maintained.
- Raising quotations – Compiling scope of work, bill of quantities and technically reviewing the quotations when they arrive, transfer quotations into MPX format and submit to Office Manager to administer and issue to the client.
- Chaperone contractors when they visit site to quote for work to clarify the scope, answer any questions to ensure that all information is provided and quotation meets our requirements.
- Sub-contractor coordination relating to work within own zone in order to meet deadlines

Requirements

Essential:
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering
- Completed and passed the RSB Electricity Wiring Regulations Course (Regulations and Supervision Bureau – Abu Dhabi)
- Has HV certification – Has attained ADDC Competency Certificate for 11KV and 22KV
- Level 5 in IELTS
- Excellent communication skills.

Desirable:
- Training in current OHSE and QA and environmental legislation and systems.
- IOSH Managing Safety .
- Postgraduate qualification.
- Contract/General Management training.
- First Aid certificate.
