Job description / Role
Electrical Engineer (Hotel Project) – UAE
Linum Consult’s client is an international engineering consultancy currently seeking an Electrical Engineer with strong High and Low Voltage experience for a significant hotel construction project in Abu Dhabi.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Reviewing and approving all Electrical Designs submitted by the contractors for the High Voltage and Low Voltage works
• Liaising with the Mechanical Engineer to ensure the overall mechanical connected load and diversified loads do not exceed the allocated electrical loads
• Ensuring that all sub developer designs are in accordance with International codes, standards and specifications
• Implementing the project quality plan, quality procedures and productivity related to all sub developer electrical works submittals in accordance with the program of work on the project
• Assisting in defining the process for execution of engineering activities related to all types of electrical systems, and identifying the need for speciality assistance
• Providing technical guidance to CAD designers/drafters, designers and engineers working on the same project
• Providing regular reports on progress to the Head of Technical Engineering Services
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• At least 8-10 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally with a history of working with Middle Eastern MEP contractors or consultancies
• Previous history of working on high-end hotel construction projects, or mixed-use building projects
• Technical design knowledge of LV and HV systems
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English, with any Arabic language skills a plus
