Electrical Service Engineer

Job description / Role

Mackenzie Jones is currently working in partnership with a leading Industrial organisation in order to recruit for an Electrical Service Engineer on a permanent basis.

The client is based in Jebel Ali and due to the remote location it is essential that you have a valid UAE Drivers license with access to a car. Experience of working offshore in the past is also essential. This role will involve working offshore but with majority based in Dubai. There will be a 70/30 split.

Your duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Fault diagnostics of M&E equipment
- Maintain and repair M&E equipment
- Interpret M&E equipment
- Overcome technical faults and issues
- Deliver accurate technical reports
- Design and implement procedures for clients and stakeholders
- Interpret electrical manuals and drawings
- Identify and maintain an inventory of all technical tools and equipment
- Ensure a safe working environment for staff at all times
- Develop the skills and capabilities of junior employees

Requirements

- A very minimum of 2 years experience within a Mechanical or electrical role with a bias towards electrical
- Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent time served apprentice who has gained relevant experience (Western educated)
- Previous experience of working in the UAE
- Experience of working offshore either as an electrical technician or as a mechanic
- A military background is also advantageous but not essential
