As the Emerging Technology Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role within the organisation's Information Technology department with responsibility for forward-thinking strategies that harness emerging technologies. This strategic position will play a critical role in identifying, evaluating and leveraging cutting-edge technologies to elevate the organisation's competitive advantage.

Description

* Develop and execute a comprehensive emerging technology strategy aligned with the company's business objectives
* Continuously assess emerging technologies such as AI, blockchain, IoT, machine learning and augmented/virtual reality for their positive impact on the business
* Lead research and development efforts to prototype, test and validate emerging technology solutions for integration into business processes and products
* Establish and maintain relationships with technology vendors, startups and strategic partners to access cutting-edge solutions, tools and expertise
* Manage the budget for emerging technology initiatives, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost-effectiveness
* Communicate emerging technology trends and developments to senior leadership and employees, promoting a culture of technology awareness and adoption

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree required and familiarity with international frameworks such as ITIL, PMI, or Prince 2
* Experienced in developing strategies that enable organisations to embrace the latest technology (blockchain, metaverse, etc) including fully costed business cases and resource requirements for their implementation
* Exposure to various technologies including SAP technologies/modules, Azure cloud, CRM and S/4HANA
* Proven experience delivering presentations on project progress to c-suite and board level senior leadership
* Extensive understanding of data privacy, security and regulatory requirements that govern developments in the innovation space
