Employee Relations Manager

Job description / Role

This role is mainly focused on enabling HR transformation. This role will be responsible to give direct support to the Group Talent Development and Engagement Manager and the HR Operations Manager in creating a strong employee value proposition by driving employment engagements through design, development and execution of targeted interventions involving a strong change and communication element.

- Perform an elevated level of employee interaction on the manufacturing floor
- Identify employee relations trends, issues, and areas for improvement, to foster a positive employee relations environment.
- Produce ER-related and metrics-related reports, and analyze those reports for trending purposes and identifying areas of concern
- Identify the need for all ER-related project work. Lead and conduct the work on many ER projects to completion. Represent ER on committees and other project teams and provide ER expertise as an ER resource for their efforts.
- Analyze exit interview data, make HR Operations Manager aware when exit interviews of concern are submitted, and make recommendations to improve the work environment, culture, and employee retention
- Review, approve, and coordinate all regrettable loss (attrition) events and other separation agreements. Advise HR Operations Manager of potential risks related to regrettable loss (attrition) and other types of employee separations
- Consult with and coach Line managers and employees on routine to complex ER issues, assist with policy interpretation, and provide guidance to prevent and/or facilitate conflict resolution

Requirements

- Graduate in Business Administration or similar
- 8 years functional experience out of which 2 to 3 years should be in an equivalent managerial level.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, compile data and present findings creatively.
