Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose

Provide technical support to cover all aspects of engineering discipline activities for a variety of works. Assists and defines the technical requirements and in the performance of Contractors for the assigned works.

Job Specific Accountabilities
- Participates in the site surveys of existing facilities to establish and identify the actual requirements.
- Monitors and reviews engineering design carried out by Consultant, Engineering Companies including feasibility, conceptual, basic and detailed engineering.
- Coordinates with other engineers during the development of the works, to ensure conformity of engineering with user's requirements.
- Prepares technical documents including data sheets and requirements for material, testing and requisitions.
- Carries out basic technical assessment of bid documents for services and material required for the works.
- Participates in the clarification meetings with Contractors and Vendors to ensure compliance with technical specifications & requirements. Assist in providing the technical evaluation and appraisal reports.
- Reviews the updated technical drawings for the installations and ensures conformity of the as-built status with the Design and technical requirements.
- Provides support in developing and updating of the cost estimates and schedules for the works. Assist the Senior Engineer in the provision of technical support on all engineering aspects arising in his discipline during the construction phase of projects.

Requirements

Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor Degree in Instrument and Control Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- At least 6 years of experience specifically in the I&C (designing, Engineering installation, commissioning, maintenance, and testing of safety and F&G Systems) within a large Company, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Experience in any of the reputed ICSS systems, covering the complete project life cycle including Sizing, Architecture (level 1 to 4), FDS, FAT, IFAT , SAT and Hand over, in the capacity of either the end user or the OEM
- Experience in either one of the ESD/safety systems like Yokogawa/Emerson/Honeywell/Siemens
