Employment: Full Time

Our Dubai based Clients are part of one of the world’s largest suppliers of aerospace and defense products. They are engaged in servicing systems and components for commercial, regional, business and military aircraft, helicopters and other platforms.

They are currently searching for an Engineering Manager to manage their MRO department.

The Engineering Manager reports to the General Manager and forms part of the senior management team which includes the Business Development Team, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain Management / Materials, and Customer Service.
You will be responsible for:
• New product introduction, supporting the engineering and repair development teams.
• Interacting with multiple departments for the continuation of current and upcoming projects; problem solving technical issues, developing plans and managing processes to resolution, as well as coordinating and working in tandem with respective departments. There would be involvement in internal plans, budgets and schedules to meet internal and external vendor requirements.
• EHS leadership on effective service to the site management team, setting standards for the service, measuring performance and focusing on continuous improvement in order to enhance business operations.
• Promoting the active EHS management site practices through the identification of hazards, evaluation of solutions and residual risk, and prioritized management action in addition to support and provide technical guidance to site management on all aspects of EHS in relationship to the site’s business.
• Developing / maintaining program plans that identify work scope, schedules, milestones, and program team members to ensure contracted programs are planned and executed.
• Chair and coordinate program team meetings, reviews, technical coordination meetings and design reviews.
• Review and assist in the development of maintenance processes and practices in accordance with the relevant written policies and procedures to ensure effective financial and business operations.
• Ensure that certification and technical data requirements are defined and coordinated.
• Track and prepare financial and operational reports regarding service program performance to ensure corrective actions are in place and managed as appropriate.
• Prepare and deliver effective presentations to various audiences, including Senior Management.

Requirements

• Relevant Electronics or Aerospace degree/ HND preferable OR
• Equivalent experience with 10 years plus Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul experience project / program management in either Civil or Military Aviation industries;
• Working knowledge of CAA or FAA Regulations and requirements
• Must possess expert level technical knowledge and skills for resolution of complex technical and business matters, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
• Excellent project management skills
• Excellent communication skills, highly presentable, and be able to interact with multiple levels in the organization and customers
• Confident leader who excels at networking, creating and leading diverse and successful outcome-oriented teams
• Proficient in the use of Windows operating system and MS office suite of software applications (i.e. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
