Job description / Role
Become a part of the leadership team within a school based in the heart of Dubai that encourages students to explore their passions, interests, and curiosities, in an environment of teamwork, inclusivity and mutual respect. This school teaches the UK National Curriculum, and is looking for a skilled, experienced, and professional English Curriculum Leader to join their team in January 2024, working and promoting to school framework of Mindset; Entrepreneur; Health & Wellbeing; Sustainable Leadership; Global; and Digital Literacy - within a holistic, inclusive, and fun educational; environment.
As an English Senior Leader you will be responsible for leading and managing colleagues within the line management structure. This will include leading educational projects, as assigned by their line manager, through facilitating effective collaboration of mentors/colleagues in the design, implementation and evaluation of projects such as engaging in the creation, implementation and delivery of the Schools Learning Framework; planning and production of resources; leading meetings; delivering training; implementing and reviewing progress meetings; analysing data and outcomes; writing reports and supporting colleagues.
The English Curriculum Leader is responsible for making clear and effective decisions about planning, implementing, and evaluating the curriculum including assessments, and extra-curricular activities; leading and managing and organizing department resources. As an English Curriculum Lead you will have overall responsibility for the standard of students’ work, outcomes, and behavior in the department.

Requirements
Requirements and Experience
• Strong academic qualifications in related field, Bachelor’s with a MA preferred
• Valid teaching credential with five years of teaching experience
• Excellent organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and safeguard confidential information
• Sensitivity in meeting the needs of all students
• Demonstrated leadership with experience in curriculum development and co-curricular programs
• Proficient in IT for productivity purposes and as a tool to facilitate learning in the classroom
