Enterprise Architect Applications Java .Net TOGAF

Job description / Role

A major banking client based in the UAE is actively looking to add an experienced Enterprise Architect as part of continuous improvement plans to better align the needs of the business and IT.

Sitting within the wider Enterprise Architecture team, the role will involve working as part of an Innovation group looking at Application, Data, and Information Security Architecture. The successful Enterprise Architect will be tasked with assessing the current systems from a platform design and optimization perspective with a view to introducing new methods, tools and technologies where appropriate. The role will also involve formulating and implementing group wide IT strategies, proposing solutions to the business, and acting as an internal consultant and SME with regard to technology best practice.

Requirements

Candidates are expected to have deep knowledge and extensive experience working within technology architecture with a focus on system and application design and development.

Furthermore, candidates will need:
- Relevant technical degree (computer science or similar)
- Extensive experience of designing and developing large and complex enterprise business applications on Microsoft .Net and Java/J2EE platforms
- Extensive experience in architecting applications using as many of the following as possible: Siebel CRM, Oracle e-Business Suite, Finacle, FinnOne, Sharepoint and Mobile applications
- Strong working knowledge of relational databases, networks, EAI, and Object Orientated methodologies

Due to the nature of the role, candidates will ideally have prior financial services experience but at a minimum should have worked on complex, enterprise scale environments. The successful candidate should also be ITIL and TOGAF certified.
