EPC Account Manager

Job description / Role

Overview: Technical and commercial evaluation of usually (complex) requests and assignments as well as supervision of received assignments so orders can be realised according to customer specific demands and the contractual agreed delivery time can be met. Reporting directly in to the Manager of Project Engineering.

Duties:
- Composes technically sound proposals and offers, including price structure, partly based on commercial information from the sales engineer, technical information from R&D / technical office (drawing office) and additional information.
- Technical evaluates, defines and processes orders by making an internal technical order.
- Coordinates, supervises and monitors the order up to delivery. Documents and indicates deviations, adjust where necessary and inform customers.
- Defines customer documentation by making an internal documentation order. Where necessary take care of the required customer documentation.
- Develops and specifies operating systems. Initiates orders by informing purchase department. Inspects and purchases from suppliers/contractors where necessary.
- Offers (technical) support to various departments within the Company, such as sales, purchase, production, technical office/drawing room, quality service, expedition and after sales.
- Processes and files the various data so they are recorded in the appropriate systems accurately, up to date and on time, making the data available to interested parties.

Responsibilities:
- Technical and commercial (in consultation with sales department) settling of requests by making technically realistic proposals and offers, including the corresponding price structure
- Making technical order definitions
- Coordinate and supervise project settlement
- Initiate and where necessary monitor instrumentation purchases
- Accurate and complete administrative processing of requests, quotations and orders

- Means of production and process possibilities within the company
- Safety regulations, standards and quality criteria
- Knowledge of materials, joining techniques and surface treatments
- (inter)national design standards
- Sampling means and processes
- English language, both verbal and in writing
- Material- and production prices
- Automatic control engineering
- Automated systems (for instance: production control system)
- Higher Vocational Education (Bachelor degree) (mechanical engineering)
- Pneumatics and hydraulics
- Automatic control engineering
- English language, both verbally and in writing (German or French for the particular region)
