Job description / Role
Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of MBC TV channels.
- Ensure metadata requirements for EPG are met before publishing.
- To check the editorial accuracy of TV EPG schedules within given timescales, resolving any issues found prior to TX.
- To check the technical accuracy of schedule data within given timelines, resolving any technical issues found prior to TX.
- Support last minute changes on MBC channels to ensure the EPG displays accurate schedule information at all times.
- To perform quality check on Acquisition deal to ensure accurate metadata entered in the system.
- Required to write English and Arabic EPG synopsis on programmes.
- Required to translate English into Arabic EPG synopsis and vice versa.
- Providing metadata reports to Head of department.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Mass Communication & Media
- Strong Arabic and English writing and communication skills
- Preferably minimum of 1-year experience in broadcasting
- Knowledge in Broadcast Master 8 is an advantage
- Excellent in translating English to Arabic and vice versa
- Excellent in summarizing English and Arabic synopsis
- Articulate, organised and enthusiastic with a keen interest in television
- Ability to work well within a team
