Job description / Role
- Provide Database Administration (DBA) support Enterprise Resource Program (ERP)
- Set up processes and routines to automate tasks
- Create SQL scripts, jobs, processes, triggers and stored procedures
- Create complex reports and provide support to regional offices
- Collaborate on installation of new releases, upgrades, and patches
- Provide end-user support and training, including testing and validation of new releases in lab environment prior to deployment in production environment
- Document procedures and processes for knowledge base
- Assists with, builds and supports (internal) websites as well as back-end applications that enable the organization to deliver high-quality services
Requirements
- Knowledge of database theory
- Knowledge of database design
- Knowledge of structured query language (SQL), e.g. SQL/PSM or Transact-SQL
- General understanding of distributed computing architectures, e.g. Client–server model
- General understanding of operating systems
- General understanding of routine maintenance, recovery, and handling failover of a database
- understand ERP database schema
- Thoroughly understand ERP security subsystem in order to assign appropriate system access to users at different levels throughout the organization and its partners
- Analyze and troubleshoot ERP system issues reported by end users
- Design, develop and maintain reports
Skills:
- Effective oral and written communication
- Demonstrated experience with SQL Server scripting, database administration, and ERP administration/support.
- Competency in MS SQL server and Transact-SQL query language.
- Demonstrated experience in reports writing.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex technical documents.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical issues to general audiences both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to support users remotely, by phone, and hands-on
