Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

As part of Event team, you will be responsible for Event Coordinator designs, coordinates, plans and implements events from conception through to completion. You will be part of the Marketing Support Services Department who is in charge of preparation of cost estimates, schedule/critical path, and paperwork and supervise all jobs pertaining to the Events.

The main responsibility will be to plans, organizes, coordinates and manages events including but is not limited to:
- Exhibitions and fairs;
- Festivals;
- Conferences;
- Promotions and product launches;
- Social events and others.
- Liaising with SBUs and the Client Servicing, MSS and PR teams to ascertain their precise event requirements;
- Liaising with clients and designers to create a brand for the event and organizing/assist the production of tickets, posters, catalogues and sales brochures;
- Producing detailed proposals for events (e.g. timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets)

Requirements

- Any combination of education, training, and/or experience equivalent to completion of a bachelor’s degree with major coursework in English, journalism, communications or related field. Previous experience in journalism, public relations, event planning, writing or editorial work highly desirable
- Minimum 4-5 years in Event Coordination/management

Job-Specific Skills:
You will need to have knowledge of Microsoft packages, including ‘Word’, ‘Excel’ and ‘PowerPoint’, proficient in using the Internet for research purposes, pro-active and have the ability to prioritize and remain calm under pressure. Having a friendly, approachable and confidence in dealing with people at all levels.
