Job description / Role
This Executive Chauffeur position is responsible for providing safe and secure ground transportation for Executive Group members travelling in the UAE.
The Executive Chauffeur may also be called upon to perform routine duties such as transport of company mail and packages and other admin duties for the regional president’s office.
Principal Responsibilities:
Drive Executive Group members and other VIPs to meeting locations as dispatched by the Office of the Regional President.
Drivers will provide service as requested of them by their principal, e.g., pick-up/delivery of mail/packages to offsite meeting location, etc.
Drivers will ensure a comfortable and safe ride for the passengers by steering smoothly, maintaining proper speeds for conditions, obeying local speed limits, stopping vehicle at proper speed, etc.
Drivers will ensure adequate communication with their principal and the Executive’s Administrative Assistant including changes in schedule. Drivers will communicate via company issued Blackberry.
Drivers will ensure that there is a sufficient supply of bottled water in the vehicle for consumption by passengers.
Drivers will arrive for driving assignments in advance of scheduled pick-up and departure time.
Drivers will consult with the Head of Security EMEA before undertaking any assignment that could pass through an area of potential safety or security risk
Drivers will use appropriate evasive and/or defensive driving tactics as necessary in order to safeguard passengers.
Drivers will regularly alter daily commuting routes to identify and/or thwart any possible malicious targeting of passengers.Drivers will participate in periodic briefings with the AVP, Executive & Event Protection or Head of Security EMEA on pertinent criminal, terrorist or executive-protection topics.
Drivers will communicate with principal regarding best/safest pick-up spot at offsite meeting locations, estimated time of pick-up, etc. Discuss/establish secondary pick-up point in the event that the primary pick-up location is compromised. Whenever practical, drivers should "advance" the drop-off location to familiarize themselves with conditions that could impact the safety or timely arrival.
Requirements
Previous chauffer experience, military and/or law enforcement officer (LEO); minimum of (5) years Corporate Security driving experience preferred
Minimum education requirements are High School diploma/GED; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Must be in good physical condition; able to lift 30+lbs
Must have a neat appearance with respect to dress and personal grooming and must act in a professional, respectful and courteous manner while transporting passengers. No smoking is allowed in the vehicle.
Must maintain a calm and professional demeanor at all times including during emergencies and situations of high stress
Possess good judgment consistent with the responsibility of executive protection and safety
Be able to communicate in English clearly and in an effective manner. Candidates who are fluent in Arabic are preferred.
Previous chauffer experience, military and/or law enforcement officer (LEO) preferred.
Availability to work on short notice and flexibility to work extended hours and/or weekends
Must have clean Motor Vehicle Record per Insurance Industry Standards and a valid UAE license.
Must not have outstanding RTA fines or black points.
Ability to use GPS, read and interpret documents such as maps, safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, trip instructions and procedure manuals
Strong candidates are polished, punctual, customer service driven and have a strong driving knowledge of the wider Dubai ad Abu Dhabi area.
Possess basic IT skills including knowledge of MS Office for report writing and information collection.
