Employment: Full Time

Calling all culinary maestros! Embrace the thrill of leading the kitchen at Tylers Tavern, our Aussie sports bar and restaurant nestled at the vibrant Port Rashid waterfront. We're on the hunt for an exceptional Executive Sous Chef ready to elevate the game with their culinary expertise. If you're passionate about crafting mouthwatering dishes in a dynamic, sports-infused atmosphere and meet the requirements as listed below, then send us your CV:

• Menu development & planning.
• Preparation, cooking and presentation of all culinary dishes prepared in the kitchen.
• Good time management skills, ensuring that meals go out on time and the work areas remain clean and orderly.
• Stock & inventory control.
• Dealing with suppliers, receiving and checking delivery of supplies to ensure accuracy with orders and quality control.
• Should have previous experience with similar cuisine.
• Prepare recipe cards and recipe costings.
• Ensure that Opening and Closing Procedures are carried out every day.
• Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.
• Ensuring very high food safety and hygiene standards.
• Follow the rules of health and safety in the kitchen and troubleshooting any problems that may arise.
• You should be able to manage the kitchen team.
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace at all times.

Salary:
AED 9,000 to 12,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

Required Skills:
• This will suit someone who’s got bags of stamina and enjoys the fast pace of a busy kitchen.
• You also need to be able to stay calm and work as part of a team during a frenetic service.
• Excellent cooking and presentation skills.
• A cool head and the ability to delegate appropriately.
• Currently working as a Sous Chef position for at least 2 years.
• Currently located in the UAE is a must, Dubai is preferred (also due to network of local suppliers).
• Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational and time management skills.
• The ability to work with all levels of internal staff, customers and suppliers.

Qualifications:
• Useful qualifications may include the below or equivalent:
• The 14-19 Hospitality & Catering diploma,
• Diplomas in professional cookery, BTEC HND in professional cookery,
• A foundation degree in culinary arts and any health and safety and food hygiene courses,
• HACCP etc.
