Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

VHR is currently looking for experienced expeditors to support the engineering division within our prestigious client's aviation operation situated in the UAE.

The expeditor will be responsible for the handling of clearance of various shipments e.g. aircraft parts, aircraft engines, components, serviceable, unserviceable, items classified as dangerous goods or explosives and ensure the on time delivery to Stores.

To be considered for this position candidates must have at least 3 years experience in aviation procurement.

Please note, this is a contract position with a duration of at least 12 months**

Responsibilities:
* Execute the clearance of normal or aircraft on ground shipments
* Receive and arrange to load the shipments after Customs clearance and to be delivered to Stores.
* Submit all the requirements to Environment Agency/CID/Police to allow DGR/EXPLOSIVE shipments
* Submit all the requirements to Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (TRA), CID/Police to allow shipments containing communication equipment.
* Arrange the clearance of explosive shipments in Dubai Airport.
* Identify opportunities for process and cost saving as and when encountered.
* Ensure compliance to EYEng Quality, Code of Conduct, SH&E Regulations and Requirements.
* Any other tasks as deemed appropriate by Supply Chain management.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be required to work a rotating shift pattern as per the business requirements.

* 3 years procurement experience in related field (aviation)
