Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Position covers all aspects linked to managing and safeguarding the quality of services delivered by the service providers aligned with a controlled financial budget. Some of the key priorities include the following:
- To assist in the provision of a total facilities management package for the managed offices of MAF Towers, in-line with recognized international best practices.
- To insure that the highest standards of maintenance of the properties and services to the occupied office accommodation for MAF Towers.
- To maintain the office accommodation in a cost effective and efficient manor, in consultation with the Facilities Manager.
- To protect the interests of MAF Office portfolio and conduct any FM related business in a professional and business like manor at all times.
- To gain total familiarization with the building layouts and systems
- To provide support and maintain compliance with regards to all Health and Safety regulations and legal requirements for the buildings.
- To maintain the highest standards of Facilities and Property Management at all times, as directed by the Facilities Manager.
- To inform the Facilities Manager immediately of any work situation that is reasonably considered representing a serious and immediate danger to any person or compromising Health and Safety requirements.
- To conduct periodic & random floor walks with a view of maintaining clear access to all Fire Escape routes and to take action where necessary if breeches occur.
- To liaise and create a working relationship with third party vendors, in relation to the general building on-going maintenance.
- To record, log and report on any building snagging that is discovered whilst conducting their daily duties.
- To implement and monitor a management tracking system that tracks all works for the OI&FM department.
- To perform any ad hoc duties that falls within the scope of the Facilities Management department or that are passed through the FM department on an as and when basis.
- To attend meeting with department, client or suppliers when required
- To assist and supervise wherever required in the department with and reasonable requests.
- To ensure compliance with group policies in relation to HR, H&S, Quality control and other business procedures related to OI&FM.
- To ensure that planned soft services like pest control, cleaning, waste management and landscape are carried out as per approved planner.
- To ensure that corrective maintenance of soft and hard services are carried out and completed according to contract.
- To support in space management
- To follow up with Tenants that all services inside leasable areas are carried out as per lease agreement
- To participate in First Aid activity & Fire Marshal activity
- To follow up with fit out works with tenant’s contractor and ensure H&S compliance during fit out period.
- To assist in LEED compliance and requirement for Office Portfolio

Requirements

The ideal candidate should preferably have a Bachelor’s Degree, though a high school senior certificate of Diploma will be sufficient should “On-the-job” experience be more than 5 years

Have a minimum of 5 year experience in a relevant field or industry.

Other Requirements
- Hands on attitude to the job.
- Have good interpersonal skill, especially when dealing with clients and third party vendors.
- Show initiative and flair for the job.
- Have certain amount of organizational & planning skills.
- Have a basic knowledge of Health and Safety standards.
- Have a willingness to be trained in other functions relation to the OI and FM department
- Arabic is a definite advantage, but not a requirement.
