Facilities Manager PSE

Job description / Role

Ensure operational readiness and functionality of all PSE in the company’ environment to protect health, safety, security and avoid passenger and airport disruption by effectively managing, monitoring and inspection scheduled and unscheduled operations and maintenance tasks carried out by the FM Contractor and his Subcontractors.

Strategic:
- Provide strategic management and leadership for all Passenger Sensitive Equipment (PSE) assets across the company property portfolio to ensure all PSE are fully functional and operational with minimum down time and have established procedures for any work around solutions required
- Be fully familiar and conversant with all operations, maintenance & troubleshooting of all PSE assets by FM Contractor and their subcontractors
- Capability and experience to assess PSE operational functionality, undertake audits and inspections and ensure optimum condition and operational status of all PSE assets
- Provide strategic and operational management of FM Contractor and Subcontractors involved in PSE
- Ensure contractual compliance across all PSE against Contract, SLA’s and KPI’s automated in CAFM system
- Be fully familiar and conversant with both planned maintenance work plans of FM Contractors and management of reactive and unscheduled PSE works
- Be fully conversant with the company Standard Operating Procedures for PSE assets and MCC / CAFM procedures

Operational:
- Ensure that the operations and maintenance of PSE assets against agreed planned preventative maintenance strategies, plans and programmes by the FM Contractor and his Subcontractors and undertakes regular random inspections of PPM’s and unscheduled service requests to ensure high standards of maintenance and reactive works and response and resolution times
- Responsible for assessment, procurement and management of small projects specific to PSE operations as agreed with Senior Manager Technical Services
- Provide a key interface between the company Departments, end users and customers and FM Contractors on a daily basis
- Manage the Contract and SLA and performance monitoring of the PSE assets by the FM Contractor and his Subcontractors
- Responsible for risk and HSE management related to PSE systems and escalation & proactive resolution of issues as required
- Responsible for financial tracking and reporting to ensure all PSE maintenance services are delivered against agreed operating budgets and service levels including for any unscheduled or remedial works
- Responsible for providing a continuous improvement review and development of initiatives to improve or rationalise PSE assets operations and maintenance to achieve optimum performance, reliability and availability
- Responsible for ownership and management of the company FM statutory compliance plans to achieve and maintain the company standards and requirements
- Ensure compliance with and implementation of the company Policies and Procedures related to PSE assets
- Undertake regular PSE asset inspections and QA audits, such inspections shall be carried out on both PPM activities and ad hoc service requests, breakdowns and repairs and end user complaints

Responsible also for the following:
- Managing system operational functionality
- Review & approval of planned maintenance tasks & programmes
- Providing full range of passenger service support
- Monitoring service standards & service response to ad hoc breakdowns and system interruptions
- Troubleshooting and proactive problem solving
- Monitoring FM Contractor and Subcontractors staff availability and performance

Requirements

- At least a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Certifications relevant to discipline.
- A minimum of eight years of relevant experience preferably in a similar environment.
