Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client, a reputable wholesale company is currently recruiting for a Feedlot Manager

Duties and Responsibilities
- Daily general observation and inspection on all livestock in the feedlot.
- Daily general inspection on all products in cold stores.
- Respond to branches calls if there is a serious problem with the livestock or meat.
- Assure sterilization implementation whenever it is required.
- Follow-up stock and put order list for all needed and required medicines and sterilizers and its operating machines.
- Commit to all obligations assigned by related government authorities to all work-related issues.
- Represent the company in front of government related authorities.

Tasks
- Responsibility of all entries and exits to and from the feedlot.
- Approved required medication for the livestock and assure that it is fit and safe for use.
- Create animal-care process and work according to it.
- Recognition and approval of sick and unfit livestock to be removed immediately from the feedlot.
- Planning and implementation of risk-management.
- Create and tune section's strategy and put annual targets for short/long-term achievements aligned with the corporate strategy.
- Follow-up on daily bases if there is any new restrictions or circulars issued by the MOEW, Food Security authorities, and Public Health authorities.
- Put fodder prescription and the required mixes and get third party expert opinion.
- Implement frequent tests for the fodder in-stock and newly arrived to assure its fitness to the livestock consumption.
- Plan and report daily feeding quantities to feed the livestock accordingly.
- Implement anatomy on dead livestock from time to time and report reason of.
- Setup easy filing system and save all work-related documents.
- Other required related assigned jobs.

Reporting
- The Farm Manager reports to the ‘Operations Director’ unless stated different in the employment agreement, as well as it can be modified and changed based on company’s strategy.
- The Farm manager is eligible to report immediately his work activities whenever it is required by his direct Manager, as well as frequently reporting might be required based on the direct manager’s instruction.

Training
- The Employee is eligible for induction in the first week of joining work.
- The Employee is responsible to express his needs for needed courses related to his work progress and eligible to take at least one training course related to his working field (refer to training policy).

Collaboration
- The company induces presence of high cooperation environment; feedback is the employee’s right and the employee must pursuit it from the direct Manager. Errors must be reported immediately to be analyzed and solved based on company’s policies. Thesis will be processed through Innovative Idea Identification (III) procedure.

Requirements

- Registered Veterinary certified by the public health authority of the hosting country.
- 10 years' experience in related fields.
- English language is essential (oral, writing, and reading) and Arabic language is an advantage.
- Possess a high moral ethics, honesty, and self-confidence.
- Good computer skills are accepted.
- Leadership.

Working days: Saturday to Thursday
Working hours: 06:00 to 15:00 including 1 hour break (total required hours are 48 per week, shifts may change based on season)
Working in holidays might be required, compensated on other working days.

Emergency calls must be answered.
