Employment: Full Time

We are seeking a Fertilizer Deputy Plant Manager for one of the largest fertilizer Producers in North Africa.  The main objective of the role is to provide professional knowledge and expertise in the administration of the plant and to coordinate and implement procedures to operate the facility’s assets to the highest potential while maintaining the highest level of safety.  Other important duties include, training, developing, coaching, guiding and supervising the Plant Leadership team.

Some of the job’s responsibilities are:

- Plan, organize, direct, cost control and implementation of improvement plans.
- Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.
- Maintain reliable and safe process systems while improving production rates.
- Assume responsibility for Capex Management.
- Ensure the successful completion of work performed by organization.
- Ensure that Project costs within budget; monthly P/L costs; turnaround costs.

Requirements

- We are looking for a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering required, 20+ years’ engineering experience in a chemical industry or refining environment.
- Fertilizer manufacturing experience a plus. 
- Minimum of 15+ years’ experience as a Manager or Supervisor in which highly effective skills and techniques are implemented to coach, develop, and retain employees 
- Ability to speak French or Arabic in addition to English will be an advantage.
