Employment: Full Time

Our client is a global leader in on-line process control equipment for the Polyolefin, Petrochemical, Mineral & Phosphates industries. They provide engineered solutions to improve process control.

Their Magnetic Resonance and Electrostatic analyzers are used for process control by some of the world’s largest companies in the Petrochemical/Polymers market. We have been retained by our client to recruit an experienced FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER to provide Analyser maintenance, trouble-shooting, and repair for their customers in the Middle East, ie. Saudi Arabia, UAE etc. The role will focus on preventative maintenance and warranty/emergency trouble-shooting and repair, in addition to equipment commissioning and start-up.

Our client’s headquarters are in the USA. The ideal candidate will be already located in the Middle Eastern region and will work from home base with travel to customer sites as required.

- Work Safely outdoors in hazardous areas on sensitive electronics and rugged mechanical hardware as well as in laboratory conditions
- Communicate and coordinate with customers in the above areas in order to set and maintain schedules and achieve agreed goals
- Work independently in remote locations to trouble-shoot and resolve problems
- Understand and take ownership of your regions and maintain a high level of support for the customer
- Be flexible to travel for up to 2 weeks or more at a time, travel load/frequency is typically 70%.
- Be able to adapt to the environment of different needs and cultures at the customer plants
- Generate presentations and conduct customer training sessions

Requirements

- A strong understanding and appreciation for the importance of Safety
- A strong Electro-mechanical background with 3+ years of hands-on experience maintaining advanced analyzers in industrial environments
- Minimum of an Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent training. (Instrument or Analyzer Tech, Military training)
- Flexibility and ability to travel without restriction
- Fluency in Arabic and English
- Experience in working in Petrochemical Plants, Mining or Refinery industry.
- Knowledge of and experience with automated ball valves.
- Familiarity with PC’s as well Microsoft office.
- Familiarity with PLC’s and PLC logic. (Allen Bradley PLC5, SLC 500 a plus)
- The ability to read blueprints, PI&D’s, single-lines, ladder logic, and wiring schematics.
- Familiarity with pressure, temperature, level, and flow measuring devices.
- BSME or BSEE degree or equivalent
- Flexibility, knowledge, and personality to communicate with Instrument Technicians, Maintenance personnel, Process Engineers, and Plant Managers.
