Finance Director - University

Morgan McKinley has been retained to work exclusively with a leading University in the UAE to recruit an Emirati Finance Director.

As a senior member of the leadership team, the Finance Director will be responsible for all financial aspects of the business through financial control, business reviews and analysis and the production of accurate management accounts. The Finance Director will also be responsible for the development of an appropriate budget and to oversee the processing of financial transactions and lead financial reporting.

Responsibilities:
* Monitor and ensure control of expenditure by business center managers in line with the approved budget.
* Ensure that the financial policies, procedures and practices meet international standards and that the University's resources are prudently monitored and controlled from a financial point of view.
* Act as the point of contact with external auditors
* Responsible for all aspects of the operating budget process involving policy analysis and recommendation, development of procedures for implementing administrative and financial policy decisions, general funds allocation, coordination of budget information, summary analyses of operating budget, and resolution of operating budget issues.
* Manage the payroll processing function for faculty and staff.
* Contributes to the overall management and operations of the University.

Requirements

A high profile University is looking to recruit an experienced Emirate Finance Director. The Finance Director will lead the finance team and drive future financial procedures.

* Professional Accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or an MBA
* Minimum of 15 years general finance experience, of which 5 years must be at senior management level or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Strong financial management experience in a complex automated environment, preferably in a university or other service industry/public sector.
* UAE national with family book
