Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

To ensure that all financial information for MMI/ELR Group and its subsidiaries and associates is captured, recorded correctly & accurately and delivered in an efficient and timely manner. Provide meaningful and insightful analysis on business performance to assist in critically evaluating current and future performance through developing dynamic business models.

The job holder is responsible and accountable for (but not limited to) the following :

Financial Planning & Reporting:
- Preparation of Management Accounts for internal reports and for Parent company on monthly and quarterly basis
- Provide relevant Management Information on a monthly basis
- Analyze and identify any significant differences between budget and actual margins, assist Commercial Finance & Operation teams in resolving issues.
- Review P&L's and highlight any variances vs Budget and PY
- Prepare forecast and track changes vs Budget and PY
- Gather all inputs required for annual Budgets (Revenue & CAPEX) and maintain a dynamic model with the ability to support scenario planning
- Budget phasing and upload into AX under correct COA.
- Ensure standard reports defined in Tableau / Management reporter that helps to complete parent company reporting on quarterly and half yearly basis efficiently

Control Framework:
- Access AX on a regular basis to review that GL entries are in line with plan (IT, Comms & Other overheads) and ensure that all entries are complete for month end
- Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are prepared by teams and review the reconciliations to ensure outstanding entries are current.
- Ensure all associated costs are cross charged to subsidiaries
- Assist with maintaining up to date accounting system with master data updates for cost centres, dimensions and GL codes, ensuring these are added to relevant management reports
- Support team in reporting shared services costs on monthly basis
- Ensure Statutory Audits are completed and Financial Statements are prepared prior to deadlines
- Provide support to Internal Audit as required

Requirements

- Qualified Accountant with at least 3 - 5 years of experience in financial or commercial in accounting/analytical roles
- Advanced skills in Excel and use of Business Intelligence Analytical tools
- Ability to manage large volumes of data and develop models to capture data efficiently in highly challenging & pressure situation
- Attention to detail - maintain integrity of data and ensure all analyses is robust and accurate
- Budgeting & Forecasting for multiple business units

Desirable:
- Working experience in the UAE Preferred
- Knowledge of local market environment & trends, government policy and regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of Food & Beverage Sector
