JOB PURPOSE

The Finance Product Officer (Financial Applications & Masters Management ) plays a key role in supporting Product Owner (FA&MM) in managing and delivering the financial systems initiatives and support for a range of automation tools, particularly focusing on RPA (Robotic Process Automation) tools e.g. Automation Anywhere, UiPath, IBM Blue Prism etc and Microsoft Automation tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps etc.

The role is expected to help in the implementation & compliance with the effective policies and processes for financial systems and master data updates to ensure appropriate control over the Group's assets and accurate financial information processing.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES LINKED TO OBJECTIVE AREAS

- Ensure all financial applications support is provided in line with respective Service Level Agreement (SLAs) helping to keep the lights with support from IT. It is expected that the person in this role suggests root cause fixes towards permanent resolution for identified recurring issues.
- Provide consultancy & business support related to financial applications, assisting the end-user community to utilise systems effectively and helping enable the evolving business processes via solutions provided through improved system functionality on a continuous basis.
- Explore & suggest new features in financial applications to continuously improve the products under management. This applies to internal and external (vendor-based) applications.
- Maintain regression test packs, conduct first level of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new features, enhancements & bug-fixes for financial applications. Find innovative ways to continuously improve the testing cycle for FA&MM, optimizing time and resources for the department.
- Help write Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs), user guides and setup/configuration documents for systems (core configuration) and best practices for automation development and support.
- Work closely with cross-functional and innovation teams to gain in-depth understanding of a business requirements and automation solution to support resolutions on issues/incidents raised by business users for such automation tools.
- Conduct testing and quality assurance to ensure the reliability and effectiveness of automation processes.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in automation technologies, continuously enhancing skills and knowledge.
- Manage own performance & continuous learning plan. Help improve performance of the unit, help other members in the team with their development to support succession planning.

Requirements

Qualifications:

- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Technology, Computer Science or related fields would be preferred. Candidates with demonstrable continuous self-development through career would have higher consideration.

Experience:

- 5+ yrs of experience in application support with focus on RPA and Microsoft Automation tools

Knowledge / skills :

- Technical proficiency in RPA tools like Automation Anywhere, UIPath, Microsoft Automation tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps etc.
- Hands-on experience in developing, implementing, and supporting automation solutions within high-volume industries, preferably aviation, travel, or similar sectors.
- Ability to pick-up any financial application, understand how it fit in the overall technology landscape and how it enables the finance function.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
- Ability to understand finance processes from a system and operational perspective.
- Basic product and/or project management skills.
- Certification in RPA tools or Microsoft Automation tools will be an asset.
