Financial Accountant

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our client’s dynamic finance team in Jebel Ali.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting with month-end processes and will be responsible for managing and coordinating the audit process. We welcome applications from individuals with a background in the Big 4 accounting firms, as their expertise will be invaluable in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements during the month-end close process.
• Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy in financial data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial information.
• Lead and coordinate the external audit process, liaising with auditors to provide necessary documentation and support.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations throughout the audit.
• Proactively address audit queries and implement recommendations for process improvements.
• Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
• Provide insights and recommendations for enhancing financial performance.
• Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and standards.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial policies.
• Maintain organized and comprehensive financial documentation for audit purposes.

Salary:
AED 17,000 to 20,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• ACCA/CA qualified
• Previous experience in a Big 4 or top 10 accounting firm
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
