Financial Analyst (1 Year Contract)

Job description / Role

Role is working within the Finance team in Thomson Reuters (Dubai) in the Expense sub-team which looks after all expense actuals and forecast/budget reporting. Sub-team currently consists of 2 employees (Finance Analyst & Finance Manager). Contractor will report into Finance Analyst.

Completion of all general ledger month end expense account reconciliations. Reconciliations require manipulation of large excel data files to produce employee/vendor level detail vs our Corporate Plan. Attention to detail & ability to manage large data files required. Reconciliations form the basis of reporting to Senior Stakeholders so accuracy and accountability essential.

Proactive work with Global Accounting teams to correct core coding and accrual issues that have affected month end reconciliations so that future months are not impacted by repeating errors.

Strong Communicator required with previous Business Partnering experience. Information flow will be both ways, and hence there is a requirement to establish effective working practices and training where required. Liaising with Accounts Payable on invoice coding & payment issues.

Salary:
AED 10,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

- PowerPoint & Presentations skills required. Monthly deep dive project into expense general ledger accounts and presentation to team on findings
- Able to work across different time zones to meet deadlines and obtain timely information
- Advanced excel knowledge required (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, IF, Pivot Table, RIGHT, LEFT, and MID for example, macros preferable)
- Experience working in Blue Chip
- Finance background with 3-5 years working experience
- SAP experience preferable
